EGEI currently uses SolidWorks Solid-Modeling software to generate highly- detailed, highly-complex components and systems. Mr. Guy's extensive knowledge of machining practices and advanced CNC programming is reflected in his designs. Throughout the design exercise, he bears in mind that he is about to go into the lab and build his design. This results in smart designs; designs that can be machined practically and accurately.

Mr. Guy is also self-taught in the use of advanced MasterCam Level 3 CAM software. EGEI routinely designs, programs, and CNC machines complex parts that the competitors can't touch! Due to the very small size of EGEI, emphasis is given to thorough CNC programming. EGEI concentrates on minimizing the number of 'setups' to machine a part and emphasises 'programming everything' so as to minimize hand finishing work. This is imperative to a highly-utilized shop. This bodes well for high-quantity pre-production or production machining. EGEI conducts expert surface machining.
